BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING A public meeting to discuss the Wasco City Budget for fiscal year July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 will be conducted by the Budget Committee of the City of Wasco. The purpose of this meeting is to receive the budget message, receive comments from the public in reference to the budget, and conduct the State Revenue Sharing Hearing. An additional budget meeting (if needed) will be held on May 23, 2017 at Wasco City Hall beginning at 6:30 pm. Any person may appear at these meetings to discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. A copy of the budget document may be obtained after April 27, 2017 at Wasco City Hall between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.

COUNTY CLEAN-UP County residents may take one pickup truck load of trash to the transfer site FREE OF CHARGE (with some exceptions).

WASCO CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS - Third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm, Wasco City Hall, 1017 Clark St.
Subject to change due to weather.

PIONEER POTLATCH - Mondays at 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the old Wasco School, corner of Barnett St. & McPherson St.
A delicious home-style dinner.  Desert and coffee, tea, juice or milk are included.  EVERYONE is welcome. Cost is $4.00 per person.

SOLID WASTE TRANSFER STATION (72526 Welk Road)
Open every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

SELF-HAUL RECYCLING STATION (on Biggs St. behind Depot Park)
3rd Friday and Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

OUTDOOR BURNING: Before you begin burning, check to see if you have a current burn permit… and if you find that you need a new one, stop by Wasco City Hall to pick one up!

January 1 – May 31 

 Burning OUTSIDE OF BARRELS/INCINERATORS is allowed during DAYLIGHT HOURS

June 1 – June 30

Burning INSIDE OF BARRELS/INCINERATORS is allowed DAYLIGHT UNTIL NOON

 July 1 – September 30

NO OUTDOOR BURNING

October 1 – October 31

 Burning INSIDE OF BARRELS/INCINERATORS is allowed DAYLIGHT UNTIL NOON

November 1 – December 31

Burning OUTSIDE OF BARRELS/INCINERATORS is allowed during DAYLIGHT HOURS
